Is the event walker or runner friendly?

BOTH! The course is certified and timed. If you are a serious runner this race is for you! With the option of discounted pricing for no beer samples throughout the 5K you can bypass any stops and make your way to the finish line. Don't forget top 3 finishers receive an award!

If you are a walker wanting to enjoy the route with some friends and enjoy some delicious beer along the way this race is also for you! Take your time and enjoy yourself in the beautiful downtown St. Charles and Geneva.

What is included in registration?

You have access to the 5K with beer stops, commemorative Hops for Hope 5K t-shirt and pint glass (to be used for Awards Ceremony), runners goody bag, and entry into Awards Ceremony (live entertainment, food and more beer)

*With this being our first year we will try our best to estimate the number of runners but we cannot guarantee a t-shirt, bag and glass for any registrations made after May 7th.

Are there refunds?

There are no refunds. You can always transfer your registration to a friend or sell it to someone else. Or you can consider it a donation to Project Mobility! Thanks for your understanding!

*Please email katherine@projectmobility.org if you would like further assistance with this

Can I register Day Of?

Yes, but due to St. Charles Park District Ordnance only credit or debit will be accepted. No cash or checks. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I don't want to run or walk but want to attend the Awards Ceremony to support my family, friend or whoever. Can I still attend?

Yes, you can attend the Awards Ceremony. It is $20 if registered before May 19th and $25 Day Of. You will receive two (2) drink tickets, access to food, and live entertainment.

Am I guaranteed a t-shirt?

If you are registered by May 7th then yes, you are guaranteed a t-shirt. If you register after May 7th the t-shirts are while supplies last.

*With this being our first year we will try our best to estimate the number of runners but we cannot guarantee a t-shirt after the above listed date

When and where is Packet Pickup?

This will be located at one of our two Presenting Sponsors location. Check back!

*If you are a business interested in hosting Packet Pick-up or sponsoring the event please contact Katherine at 630-464-2991 or katherine@projectmobility.org.

Can we get our stuff day of the race?

Yes, we will have check-in available from 10:00 am - 11:45 am.

If I register for no beer stops do I have to be 21 years old?

Yes, Hops for Hope 5K is 21 years and older only. This will be strictly enforced and everyone must have their ID present day of the event. Also, you will still receive 2 drink tickets to redeem at the Awards Ceremony. If you choose to use them GREAT! If not you can inform the volunteer that you would not like the tickets.

What if I don't have my ID the day of the race?

Unfortunately you will not be able to participate in Hops for Hope 5K and there will be no refund. Due to City and Park District ordinance there is no exception to this rule. Please do not forget your ID! Registration is 1 hour and 45 minutes long so worse case scenario you may have time to run home (pun intended).

Where do I park?

The parking lot for Mount Saint Mark Park off of Prairie Street is very limited in spots. Additional parking can be found off of Second Street and Illinois Street (public parking lot) and off of First Street (parking garage). There will be signs and volunteers directing cars. Please no parking in front of the local businesses (The Jalapeno Grille, Sammy's Bikes, and El Diamante Hand Car Wash & Detailing).

How much beer do I get?

We know this is a very important question! During the 5K you will receive 4, 3 oz. samples (may add more, stay tuned!) of craft beer and 2 drink tickets to redeem 2 pints of beer of your choice.

I still don't get it, what is this event? Drinking and running? Seems weird!

This is a Fun Run and trust us once you participate you will not think it's weird and will count down the day till next year Hopes for Hope 5K! You will run or walk the 5K and have Refueling Stations to stop and enjoy a 3 oz. sample of craft beer. Once the run has concluded you will enjoy more beer with 2 drink tickets that can be redeemed for 2 of your favorite pints of beer you sampled during the race along with live entertainment and food. At 2:00 pm the top 3 finishers will be announced and will receive their award!
